United Way of Greater Knoxville acts in solidarity with the region’s people, businesses, nonprofits, and civic leaders to create a more equitable Knoxville — a community where neighbors have stable housing, financial security, quality early care and education, access to food, and more.

We are excited about the year ahead and need the support of our entire Knoxville community to make these ambitious goals a reality.

2022 Change Awards

The Knoxville area has an incredible ecosystem of pioneering nonprofits and local organizations that work tirelessly to facilitate a positive, lasting impact in our community. To honor the incredible efforts of the region’s most dedicated change makers, United Way of Greater Knoxville is launching the Change Awards.

UpWard Summit

The UpWard Summit was a large gathering of nonprofits in the region. It empowered nonprofits and local organizations to share best practices, learn from each other, and inform the vision of what Knoxville can become.

Hackathon

The social hackathons are a series of community-driven social innovation events. They will give Knoxville organizations, individuals, nonprofits, and local businesses the opportunity to unite in partnership to design solutions that address our most pressing community issues.
