In 2021, Alliance for Better Nonprofits merged with United Way of Greater Knoxville to create a hub for nonprofit collaboration. Today, Alliance for Better Nonprofits powered by United Way of Greater Knoxville continues to serve as a convener for nonprofits in East Tennessee and to provide education opportunities and trainings for nonprofit workers.

With over 350 member organizations, ABN offers building blocks nonprofits need to be strong and sustainable through education and training, consulting services, relationship-building opportunities, access to resources, and collaboration in collective impact initiatives. ABN connects its members to nonprofit peers, leaders, and experts, as well as to the foundations, philanthropists, agencies and university partners committed to making the community stronger through better nonprofits. Visit the ABN website to learn more!

We are ecstatic to be merging with Alliance for Better Nonprofits. Their work in the community to create a strong network of nonprofits and a resource hub for community members seeking help is inspiring. United Way of Greater Knoxville has seen some tremendous growth over the past few years and as we look ahead to how we can continue best serving our neighbors, this merger will increase our capacity to do so much more and have an even greater community impact. Working alongside ABN, we will be able to expand our reach and organize community resources to better serve those who need help most in Knoxville.

Nonprofit organizations, students, and individuals are eligible for an ABN membership. Members receive discounts on training classes and consulting services, relationship-building opportunities, access to resources, and more!
