In times of disaster, every United Way works diligently to organize resources and connect those in need with those who can help, support volunteer efforts, and bridge communication to ensure our neighbors have the support they need to recover. 

In the wake of the devastating tornadoes that hit London, Kentucky, on May 16, 2025, many are facing significant hardship. If you’re looking for ways to support recovery efforts and help those affected, here’s how you can make a difference.

  • Kentucky State Police – Donation Center
    Flashlights, Batteries, Trash Bags, Gloves (medical & work), Shampoo/Body Wash/Hand Soap, Deodorant, Wet Wipes, Charcoal, Small Propane Tanks, Empty Gas Cans, Cleaning Supplies, Plastic Storage Totes, Tarps, Gift Cards for Food or Fuel.  Items can be dropped off at 1812 North Main Street in London, KY

 

Volunteering

  • Volunteers can meet in person at the Command Post at the London Corbin-Airport at 566 Hal Rogers Dr London, KY 40744
  • Volunteers can text the City of London Operations – (606) 231-0518 for specific assignments. Please include: Name, Days/Times Available, Services (Sorting Donations, Distributing Donations, etc.)
  • Samaritan’s Purse: Teams of volunteers for multi-day commitments. Details here.
